Mo Mo (dumplings) Fiesta at London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), London, UK

Mo Mo (dumplings) Fiesta at London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), London, UK

On March 12, 2015, London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) Student Union Nepalese Society in partnership with Daughters of the Himalayas hosted a Mo Mo (dumplings) event to raise money for Yang-Ward Foundation. Because this event was well advertised, the turnout was massive and the event as a whole was a huge success.

Mostly attendees for this event were LSE students but some of the attendees came from as far as Reading, which is about an hour drive from Houghton Street, London. Sanjiv Ghimire, who is one of the strongest supporters of Yang-Ward Foundation since its inception, traveled down to London from Reading to support the event while he also made a generous donation to the event.

Attendees had a choice between chicken and vegetable Mo Mo. This event lasted for about two hours. The massive turnouts from the International Relations Department of LSE and Roseberry Hall members, one of the residential halls of LSE, helped to raise £ 750 UK Pound Sterling. This event was considered to be the biggest lunchtime fund raising event in the history of Houghton Street. This event was possible because of the collective effort of every single member of the LSE SU Nepalese Society. Thank you everyone who helped to make this event a successful one.
